Need Tranny Help ASAP
Looks like fuse I (engine bay) is for the tranny ... it doesn't say O/D but it does say "Trans".

If i still hit the button the light still comes on and off it just won't go into overdrive. I went through most of that checklist except checking the fuse cuz i thought no way it could be that. But i've come up with it's either that solenoid or the whole tranny itself is shot. Could be that clutch pack for over drive but like i said it won't even attempt to go into over drive now and it doesn't slip so i'm all out of ideas.
New converter. Thats what I needed and its worked like a charm ever since. They also replaced the solenoid. 450 bucks at the stealership. But it was under warranty since the new tranny was less than 3 yrs/36000 miles. I got lucky. I think if I didn't have a warranty then they would have said I needed to replace the tranny.
What happened with mine was it lost lubrication to the rear of the transmission some how and the whole transmission needed a rebuild. My i'll have to find the tech sheet that they sent me but we had to remake out tranny lines cuz the bypass line got plugged i guess and that's how that happened.
my 97 did the same thing i drove it till the tranny went my brother had an 01 that od and revers went out of so we drop it and he had it rebuilt by a good tranny shop. they told him their warranty was no good if we did not drill out the check valve in the cooling line . they said it seizes up and dose not allow fluid to the od or revers and once they go it works on the rest of the tranny
