Stock Suspension Heights?
For starters, I am a newb, and Yes I did a search for this but didn't quite find what I was looking for.
I just bought a '99 Ram Sport 4x4, the question I have is does anyone know what the factory lifts were for these trucks in their different trim levels? My truck is still riding on the stock suspension, but it sits really high compared to other 4x4 Rams I have seen that are not the Sport model. I need to buy new tires and i want to go bigger, so I am trying to see how big i can go without modding the suspension. I would definately say my truck came with a factory lift, I just don't know how much of a lift the factory did...
Can anyone offer more insight? Any help would be great, Thanks!

i'm not sure if your 99 has 15 or 16 inch tires...
my 01 has stock factory suspension and its not an off road package. it has a 4 inch block between the leaf spring and top of the rear axle. unloaded, with the 285/75/16 tires the bottom of the rear fender wells are at 41 inches. the bottom of the fronts are at 38.5.
i would not recommend tires any bigger than mine. anything bigger will require a lift, and in my opinion, a gear change.

I have 16" wheels
Thanks, I'll have to measure the block in mine and see what I come up with I guess.
I was hoping to go to 33's, which is what it sounds like you are running with no issues.
Now to just figure how wide I can go....

thats weird, i have a 96 4x4 sport and mine is 38" front and 39" rear. thats the first time i've ever measured this. i thought it was level. huh? seems like a leveling kit would make it look funny.
