Default Passenger door lock won't stay down

Hi everyone,

I just bought a 96 Ram 1500 and it has a viper alarm installed on it. When I try locking with the door lock switch or with the viper alarm, the passenger door lock goes down and back up immediately. Every heard of this? If you try holding it down when you do it, it will stay down and lock. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Warren

Most power door have a box attached to the wiring that senses the keys in the ignition, that way you can't lock your keys in your truck. I had a viper alarm/starter in my truck and started having problems with it, like one day my truck started on its own without me even pushing the button, so I opted to remove the whole system from my truck. I would take it to a person who installs them and have them check it out.
