i have a 98 ram 4x4 360, right now the truck just has a 2 inch lift 33inch tires and a flowmaster. what is the first handfull of mods i should slap on this baby...i know its not gonna be a beast or anything i just want it to be faster then it is. i was thinking, cai or equivelent, tb, hypertech/superchips, ignition, and headers n such. really im not familar at all with these trucks or dodge in general, i used to have a 97 mustang cobra and thats what i knew like the back of my hand. what are the first few thigns i should do to this thing to make it more powerful better gpm and a bit faster.

CAI (either K&N or AirRaid) and Chip (several good types) for sure.
that will start off the increase in HP and Deacrease your Fuel Consumption

then its all downhill from there.

 

first mod i would do is swap out the gears. this will be costly do to the 4x4. running bigger tires slows the truck down if not geared properly. also there is so much you can do to the engine internally. cam kits will produce the biggest gains. as far a programmers go they are both good, superchips and hyper.

Will 4:10 gears tare up my differentail?? Somone was telling me that if you switch out the gears that it could do that?? Thats why i havent gotten them yet. but let me know please.
