wig-wags would be pretty easy just get the wig wag flasher and wire it into your high beam headlight circuit.

finially got a new pack 6 outlet 60w. I wanted a 90w but it looks brand new and only paid 90 shipped off ebay so I'm happy with it. Installed it yesterday and got a vid of how the lights look so far. Remember I still want head and tail strobes and though about getting the cheap *** pepboys set for the turn signals and maybe the backup lights lol. (I know I'm Crazy)

Some.depends on whether or not your traffic lights have the strobe sensor or not,

quoted from i-hacked.com (Build your own @ http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/176/44/)
I have been hanging onto this information for quite awhile, but since FromTheShadows released Box 4.0 that touched on it, I decided that I should probably let this info go. The device the "mysterious hacker" is using to change all the RED lights to GREEN is a MIRT. It is nothing "secret" or extraordinary. A MIRT is a device that uses Infra Red technology to trigger Pre-Emptive sensor on a traffic light and causes the light to change to green. Yes, this device will give you the ability to ALWAYS HAVE A GREEN LIGHT. The shadowy hacker did at least give one good tid-bit of info, if you want to order one, you will need to do your share of Social Engineering, as they are only sold to "Authorized Users". Oh, and you will need to pony up the $300-$400 to get one.. Well, paying isn't the I-Hacked way, lets build one! Today I am going to show you how to build a DIY Mirt for less than $20. Before we begin, let me state that the legality of such a device is interesting. Since the device emits an IR signal rather than a radio one the FCC has no control over its
production or possession. However the actual use of the product by non-qualified individuals would be illegal. It is probably against your STATE law for you to own & operate one of these. I must insist that you check with your local law enforcement before you even think about beginning to build one. I checked with mine and just owning such a device carries pretty stiff penalties. (not worth it)
From Michigan Law: (Why Michigan when I live in KS? Because it was easy to find, and I copied and pasted) [ol][*]A misdemeanor and up to 90 days in jail and a fine of $5,000 for the
unlawful POSSESSION of a MIRT.[*]A FELONY charge with up to TWO YEARS in jail and a fine of $10,000 for
the unlawful SALE or purchase of a MIRT.[*]A felony charge with up to FIVE years in jail and a fine of $15,000 for
individuals using MIRT that resulted in a traffic accident[*]A felony charge with up to 15 years in jail and a fine of $25,000 for
the use of MIRT resulting in death.
[/ol]so yes its possible.

Im a vol also. Wigs, strobes, leds are awsome, but here in SC in order to use them(not have them) but to use them. You must carry emergency vehical insurance, the same ins. a fire truck or other emercency vehicals are mandated to carry. Also the traffic signals in the city are sensored and will hold green for emergecny vehicals. And I too have heard that flashing Brights at some red lights, will make them change. However most traffic signals are controled by a loop sensor in the pavement. One reads open and one reads a close signal. Detecting the metal on the vehical.

Its all about the heart of being a vol. Not the way you light up your life. Stay safe, were family.

Hey RushFD - Those light heads with the 4 leds in them - Thats what i have in my truck. I have bl/clear split.. 4 of them now. They're bright as hell too. Anyways, i met a guy that lives by me and gives me good prices on all those things. All kinds of lights. If you want a pair or however many, let me know and i can pick em up for him. If he has to order them, he'll have em within a week, and he warrantys them well. Not to mention, i know the guy personally so he wont blow me off with warranty issues. PM me if you want anything. The more i get from him the better the prices as well. Anyone thats looking for stuff - Let me know!! Take it easy guys!!

As of right now, I've got a Code 3 blue light on the top (just halogen). I'm soon getting a back rack and when I buy that, I'm going to save up for a MX 7000 Strobe. My dream lightbar.

Since NY Vol. FF can't have Red and Clear, You can only have blue and amber, but amber has to be in the back.

I'm on my towns volunteer FD and EMT. This week, I'm getting 4 grille lights in stalled. 2 blue LEDs on the top grille and 2 green (for the emt) on the bottom grille. When I get a picture, I'll upload, but I've gotta get access to a camera first.

And it's what TommysToy said, when it all comes down to it, protect your brothers and family. Stay safe.

I have the Whelen 6 outlet 90 watt , have had it installed 1+ yrs and have 4 strobes mounted in the front headlights, 2 in the tails, have had absolutely no problem with them. I also have LED's mounted in the gap on the front bumper, now those are a POS, only because they were from some raghead in New Jersey who couldnt make it @ 7/11 and decided to make crappy LED's and sell them on ebay. I have a set of Nova Slultra LED's I havent installed yet 40 led's per light, now these look pretty good on a fellow FF truck.
