01 ram doesnt start? any ideas?
Mine did the same thing a few days ago 01 ram. When I went to check for spark it had some but was a blue color and plugs were .080....Bad....So I changed plugs and reset puter....take neg. battery cable off...5 minutes maybe....put pedal to floor and crank......started and started great since. Have alot more power now too...
ok i tried the truck at about 1am and it started! it turned over and turned over but then spit and sputtered then started right up! Anyone in wisconsin want to program my truck? id like to have someone try there hypertech / supership deal on the truck before i go and spend $300 on one myself.
Try cleaning your battery terminals and make sure their tight when you put them back on. I know it sounds like bs but every thing I have owned has given me issues and that solved the problem most of the time.
wow I'm becoming a regular here these past 3 days

Now the question is have you driven it. Will it start a ccouple of more times. It almost sounds like the fuel pump. Hard to say with out being there. **** for gas?
Next time you go to start it and it starts turning over and not starting, let off the key for a second or two and try again. If it fires right up after that scenario, it will be fuel pump/regulator/pressure......

truck starts right up. I drove it a few places today and it rand and drove fine. i took the throttle body off and cleaned it up. i looked down into the intake and it was a little wet........ like barely wet so i dont think its the plenum gasket. i also put a new pcv valve in. i bought new plugs and wires but the wires are only 7mm so im questioning them. id like some bigger ones. anything else I should do to the truck while im under the hood?
thanks all

I had the same problem.....Turns out my problem wasplugs and wires. I now knowNOT to use the bosch +4 plugs. While you're at it, you might want tochange the coil. Mine went bad@ 85,000. Tried to start itone day and presto.....nothing. Metered the coil and sure enough, she was open between the primary and secondary. It started after that, but was running poorly. In fact, it was misfiring until I changed the plugs and wires. If you're going that far, you might as well re-route the wires as per that TSB and change the cap and rotor. Good luck.
