coolant!!
I stopped to get gas yesterday and saw abunch of coolant running on the ground...sure enough it was drippin down good. Drove the 5 blocks to my house and it stopped......I cant tell for sure, but it looks like it came out of the hose that goes into the water pump......I start my new job friday, so I gota get out in the cold and figure it out[:'(]
Ok........well im kinda worried its my water pump.... there is a weird semi loud noise. It kinda sounds like a bearing, so im afraid its the pump. But its been doing it since I changed my t-stat about4 months ago, so idk if its a pulley bearing then. Do the pumps start leaking b4 hand? I have also seen ppl talking about the the timimg cover gasket or some deal...........
Sounds like a water pump to me...Mine lasted 62k then failed after a desert trip last Ocotober. I paid a local shop to R& R mine, flush the coolant, change the hoses and thermostat ($500 for everything) though I've seen lots of people on this board who have done them themselves. At the time I was short on time (needed the truck the following weekend for a quad race I was in) though it dosen't look all that hard to do yourself. Word to the wise, change (of have changed) the small bypass hose at the top of the water pump, I've been told these sometimes fail before 100K.

Ya I already did that...couple months ago I had a leak and it ended up being the t-stat gasket, but I changed the bypass hose cuz thats what I thought it was till I tore into it....I guess Ill jst change out the water pump.....should have done it when I changed the bypass hose!![:@]
Sounds like the pump. There are little holes on the pump that will leak before they actually blow. I would get it fixed soon because if it fails while driving the fan and fan clutch come off and that can cause the fan to smash into your fan shroud, radiator, hoses ect.
Its really easy to do, water pump swap is basic maintanence.
I relaly doubt its the timing chain gasket.

I didnt change my water pump with the initial drips was on the expressway just snapped broke belts but radiator was fine, fyi change the thermostat too if youre goin to already i didnt then i had to take it apart again after that.
