Default rear lift question

I am lifting my 2000 ram 1500 4wd 2" in the front and back. I found a 2" block / U-bolt kit on ebay through suspensionmax. The blocks are steel-tapered and come with the U-bolts, but it says its for 2wd only. Does anyone know if there is any differance in the rear springs and factory blocks from the 2wd to 4wd? My 4wd has 2 1/2" wide springs and factory 3" blocks. If the 2wd is the same, it would work, just not sure how the 2wd is? I tried emailing the company with no reply. Thanks!

4x4 are taller than 4x2 so it may not work. find a 4x2 and measure the factory block.

your 4X4 is already 2" higher in the rear. A 2" lift on a 4X4 is a leveling kit consisting of either a 2" longer spring up front or a 2" spacer and that is it.

i agree with above. look on skyjackers, RC, any of those lift company's web sites and they should sell the block your looking for. generally its a better idea to buy a bigger block and ditch the factory rather then stacking blocks as it can be dangerous. I would also suggest getting an Add a leaf for your truck. there cheap, safer then blocks. your bed doesnt really sag as much when loaded. and the ride is still ok. just alittle stiffer with i dont mind at all. keep axle wrap down also.

I like the idea of add a leafs. I had an f150 that I put taller blocks in and had bad axle wrap problems. The only question I have about the leafs, is will they give you a full 2" of lift. The description of all the ones I have found said it will lift your truck 1.5-2.5" My rear springs are good, not sagging.

most likely it will be 2.5 and then they will sag alittle so i think they just give you that range depending on how much its gunna sag. mine did about half inch

Since we're on the subject...does the factory stack two blocks on the rear axle or did the previous owner of mine do that? It's got the anvil looking one and another 2-3" block under that. Is that normal?

that was done by a previous owner. factory used 3" blocks for the 1500 and i believe (not sure) 4.5" blocks with some of the 2500's and 3500's

theanvil; looking block is oem. the skyjacker add a leafs raised my 1500 just under 3 inches with 9 month old new mopar leafs. is stiff but well worth it. depending on what you do with the truck, 2 inch coil spring spacers or 2500 front coils is how i did mine.

Alright, now I'm just massively curious. I know the anvil looking one is oem since that's been on my two previous trucks. Here's what mine looks like. I have no sort of lift in the front, could this be why I'm getting pretty bad nose-dive look?
