thats odd then.. not sure why its blowing like it is.. i wouldnt go anything bigger then 30 amp.. wouldnt hurt to try a 40 amp and just to see what happens.. but i would leave it for long... maybe your unit is defective.. have had that happen a few times.

 

what's really strange is that I just pulled this out of his 94 (where it worked perfectly) and it went straight into this one, so I'm fairly sure there is nothing wrong with the remote starter itself.

 

Didn't get my starter installed this weekend ( the wife had me painting the the lower level of the house ALL weekend!!!).

Just a question...How much time should I set aside to do this project? I'm an Electronics Tech by tradeso multiple wires and soldering don't scare me.

 

I put the one in my 98 Ram in about an hour, and the same with my dad's 95 Silverado.

 

does anyone know where the actual keyless/alarm module is located so i can put my hands on it to verify whether i have keyless or not....vin check says i do but i cant activate passive locks(the whole turning key thing 4 times, or locking the doors looking for a light in the dash, or opening the door from the inside with it locked...plz help
