Answer to number 2: Yes, if it has the rear opening doors, No if it doesn't. Not that the car seats won't fit, but it's much easier to access them with the rear door.
I went from an extended cab Ford that didn't have the rear opening doors to my 1999 Extended cab Ram with the rear doors that open. What a difference, especially with car seats. If you will be hauling anyone around in the rear, get a truck with the rear doors.
Answer to 3. If you know the previous owner and who can attest to the maintanence, I would consider it. This also depends on how much daily driving you will be doing and how long you want to keep it. I would personally look for something closer to 100,000 miles, but realize that affects the purchase price.
Answer to 4. To get the rear opening doors, you have to have a 1999 or newer I think I might get corrected on this answer.
