When i recently got my truck, the horn in it did not work. Id really like to have a horn just in case id ever need it. Anybody have any suggestions on what the problem could be, im new at this stuff being 16 and everything.

Check the clockspring. I know there is a recall for certain trucks. And here is a link to some other info about your specific year model. http://199.79.180.163/prepos/files/A...-532852-YN.PDF

My brother had the same problem. I looked at the horn and the wire to it came unplugged. It may be that easy.

i had same problem, the contacts might be dirty but i didn't want to fool with them being the airbag right there so i wired up a set of air horn with the button in the overhead console.

Both my horns went out. Check the fuses and then you can put a volt meter on the wire connector at the horns. (It will only read power when the horn button is pressed.) If you have power there, replace the horns. If no power, trace the issue back to the steering wheel.
