RPM's sticking around 2500-3000

when i'm driving my truck, i've got a 1500 with the 5.2 5 speed, my revs will hold around 2500 to 3000 rpm, only happens when its in gear, i'm wondering if maybe the MAP sensor might have anything to do with this?
