Default 1/2 to 3/4 hub switch

I recently trashed the front axle on my 1998 1500 4x4 and have located a complete 3/4 ton suspension. I would like to do the swap, but I really don't want to have to switch out my 5 lug wheels. Does anyone know if the hubs will interchange? Thanks!

i am woundering if a 1ton rear would work on my 1500 i really do not care about the lugs but i know the gear ratio needs to be the same. i see you know the front will work. do you know if the rear on a 2001 will work also, or can you steer me in the right direction?

No, the hubs have differant bolt patterns. It would be an axle swap as well to change the rears, and that won't work either.

ok since im trying to go to one tons, ill give you guys some of the info i know. any dana 60 front from a sec gen dodge is a direct bolt in. all ou have to do is get a diffent u joint for the driveshaft. dana 60 and 70 rear are also the same way. most dana 60's wont fit a 15inch rim but the caliber could be grinded and it should fit, depending on year of axle. the rear your going to need adifferent driveshaft for. the hubs from a 1/2 and 1 ton arnt interchangable. although there is a guy onpirate4x4 that makes 5 lug hubs for the 60 but there alot of cash.

when i do my swap im just gunna swap in a dana 60 front and leave the 9.25 in the rear since its a pretty beefy axle anyway. then convert the 9.25 to 8 lug using the shafts out of a dodge 2500 8 lug van ( which is a 8 lug 9.25)
