I took the breather element out to clean it but can't get it back in. What's the trick? Thanks.

 

Figured it out... the trick is to take the outer rubber grumet off from the plastic stem/valve. The rubber grumet goes back in easily; then insert the plastic stem/valve. There is a lip on the valve so you will need pliers to pull the peices apart. I hope this saves you all some time.
