Default Exhaust leak or normal?

My dad cut an ad out from meineke for me and I saw it says "FREE under car inspections" so I decided I was going to take the truck there sometime this week for them to look at my exhaust because I noticed when I use MCCC and seafoam there was a little puddle underneath the extension bar after the muffler. Now I thought this was bad, a leak in the exhaust, but my dad said thats normal? Any comments?

every exhaust will have a small pin hole size in it to let water drain out. or else it will just sit in there and rot it out.

Oh okay, makes sense, but how does water get in/a problem in there anyway, doesn't it get hot inside?

A well running vehicle will often have water drip from the tailpipes. A product of combustion and the catalytic converter, as I understand it. I don't know exactly what causes it, but it's normal, as far as I know.

Street racing is illegal. All racing done on a closed road. Do not try this at home.[sm=grinangel.gif]

no flowmaster has a pin hole in it....check the clamps or welds ? mine drips water out the tips do to condensation or a good burn 14.7:1
Air/Fuel ratios are given by molecular weight and the 'stoichiometric' ratio is 14.7:1 - this is the ideal air fuel ratio for complete combustion. It is at this Air/Fuel ratio that all the fuel is burned in the given quantity of air.

air has moisture in it. if it goes into the engine its gotta come out, i guess. i think thats how/why it condenses in the pipes.

Yeah, some mechanics will put a small hole in your muffler, supposedly so water can drain.

Humidity develops in the tailpipes at night and when the engine cools, it's called condensation.
This builds up noticeably, but if the car is driven regularly, the water is expelled and the exhaust is left bone dry.
Yes, some cars will drip water for some time (especially in cold weather) but once the engine is HOT and it is driven...

The pin hole, however, will eventually widen and become bigger, requiring a muffler replacement, and IMO, a stupid practice that if it helps is as likely an old wive's tale, but that it eventually grows bigger I know for a fact.
