Im tall too, and i went to a stereo shop and they had a box that fit perfectly underneath my back seat. And my front seat is all the way back. The only problem with the box underneath the rear seat is the lak of subs that you can put into it because the mounting depth is so small.

Alright, here ya go: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...p;model_id=740
There are multple types of boxes for different apps here.

On a scale from 1-10, 10 being the hardest, this is easily a 2. The hardest part being getting the seat out of the truck, if you can take off 4 nuts your set. Upholstry has changed ALOT since the 70's, most seat covers now are held on by long plastic C-channel, not hog rings like the old days. It just clips off and back on.

The JL box includes a 12w3 subwoofer at 3-4 ohms, 300 watts. If you want more thump, these https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraud...iew.shopscript
have the same mounting depth but MUCH more power handling and lower ohms, so I believe they could be mounted in the stealthbox. Thats my next upgrade for later this summer anyway.

Of course these might be another option for ya: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-zOGJBTL...amp;I=044CDTX1
Looks like a decent setup, and I might give it a try in the future if I decide I want another woofer. Although it might be a little weak for serious bass.

Or, do a search on ebay for cheaper, both in cost and quality boxes. To me, having 1000w 12" hidden under my center seat, where chicks can sit and get warmed up (HEHE) is perfect, and plenty enough thump to rattle the mirrors. That, and nobody knows its there, I have yet to have one single person find it, untill I turned it on, and then sometimes I still have to show them. NO, its not competition loud or obnoxious, but people in other cars do wonder where the thump is coming from when I have it cranked up, they never suspect that much noise from a big 'ol truck. I guess I'm qualifying my statements because I've had friends with 5000+watt competition setups, and to me that stuff is just plain ridiculous. Making my nose and ears bleed just aint for me. But having good sound quality and a nice back massage while driving is a good thing, LOL.

Good luck on your search guys

BTW, Iam 6' 6" and have "enoguh" roomfor very short prople to sit behind me now. Although, there wasn't much room in back before the subs. Here is a link to the box I bought. This is a different site than I bought it from so I got it a bit cheaper. But still $90 + $35 not bad. http://www.topedgeonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=13901

I have 2 alpine 1242Type-R. They fit ok. The thunderform deffinately looks better if you want everything neat and hidden. The box I have sticks out a bit so you loose some leg room. For me this wasn't a big deal for me since I hardly ever use the back seat. I was more concerned with using the 12 inch subs I had and taking up more room that buying new 10's to save space. I will take a pic when I go on my lunch break and put it up here. The only thing is, with the shape of the box my subs didn't quite fit. The Type-R's have a large basket, so I had to mount another sheet of 1/2 inch MDF to the front of the box. All in all I like it, but it does not look as clean and concealed as the other much more expensive options out there.
