Herculiner - Bed Liner
Hi Guys, Has anyone tried this stuff out? I am thinking of putting it in the bed since it's starting to get pretty beat up and wanted to dress it up and protect it a bit, the Rhino lining is too expensive for me right now, and the Herculiner fits the budget but I am wondering if it does a decent job of protecting the bed or is it just painting it?
I have the8 foot bed and the kit is for a 6 foot bed, I believe I will need an additional quart.
any thoughts / suggestionswould be greatly appreciated.

RE: Herculiner - Bed Liner
i have some i was planning to put on, but then realized i have never actually seen any installed before - so i stopped.
i recently went out riding with a friend that had some kind of UNKNOWN homemade roll on liner.
it was on the truck when he got it, so he doesn't know anything about what kind it is. but, it looks terrible, feels terrible.
i'm also wanting to know what other people that actually have Herculiner thinks....
i'm reluctant to spend 300-400 on rhino/linex, but i also dont want to irreversibly screw up my truck.

RE: Herculiner - Bed Liner
I did my bed with it. If I was to do it again, I would have no spent the money on it. The shortbed kit is something like $80 - $100. The problem is it goes on so thin it is not durable. I was sliding something on the tailgate and it scratched right through the stuff.
If you are going to do it I would buy two kits. Use one to get the first coat down. The second to literally pour it in the bed and make the bottom thick. If you dont have it on thick it is not worth having.
Although then when you think of wasting an entire day doing this, your better off spending the money and having a spray in liner done.
Thats just my opinion after using it.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the info, I am doing a little bit more research on the stuff as well, 2 layers sounds like a good idea but that's looking at 200 (saw it on checkers for $100 a kit) I am thinking just wait and do a spray on liner.
I appreciate the feedback
