If my memory serves me right it's got an elongated looking filter.

 

I know people who have used the AFE kits on their 2nd Gen diesels and had no trouble.If you feel like you are getting a good deal on it, I would say go for it. AFE has a good reputation and you need a CAI anyway.

 

I got a friend with a 5.4L ford with the same intake and he loves it. He showed it to me the other day and it looks like it 's built really well. He also reved it a bit and that thing was pulling in some air. He said it gave him 18HP. He might be bluffing though, you know how them ford boys are.
