Default AFE Intake?

Is anybody out there running an AFE stage 2 intake? A guy I know just offered me a GREAT deal on a brand new one. If anybody's got one on their truck please tell me what you think.

I have an afe stage 2 intake on my '05 CTD and it rocks... lots of airflow, breaths really well up top.

Yeah, I was kinda leaning more towards the AFE since KN has that recall out on my model truck.

I'm not sure if it's still going, but for a while there there were some problems with the inside of the tube breaking apart and making the throttle stick. Check out KN.com.

I had that happen to me... it was where the TB bolts thru the tube... it cracked and the vacuum of the motor finally broke a piece off and down into the cylinder. bent one of the electrodes on a plug but that was it. the rest of it blew out. never saw any damage from it when I did a head swap 2 years later. do you have any links to the afe kit?

Just go to AFEfilters.com and do a search for your truck. They might and might not have a dyno chart for your truck. I went to find my chart and it said COMING SOON. I also checked KN and they still have that safety notice out. It's right there on the main page.
