Rear wheel cylinder size?

Fixing on my brakes time here,and a while back larger GM rear wheel cylinders was a frenzied topic as an upgrade, anyone do a dually? 452 shoe, or 451 shoe 2500 orwas this justa small shoe 462truck kinda thing? any reasoning on whya larger bore wheel cylinder? just wondering!
