I would look for a Warn/MileMarker winch. I hear and seen then in action and they are the best. May pay a little bit more, but when your stuck or getting someone unstuck, you'll be happy you paid more for it.

Nope never heard of them. And I agree with 2000RAM when it comes to safety equipment don't go cheap, go with what is tried and proven

Ahh....or is that AH-So? It's a Chinese Knock offversion of an American made winch. I'm starting to see these pop up in the Pay N Save, Northern tool, Swap meet/Flea market places here. I suppose you can take your chances with it. If it fails you can report it here, if it consistantly pulls your truck out of trouble, give it lots of Kudos.
As we Americans become a society more interested in "looks" and cheap throw away disposable merchandiserather than quality, there are opportunities for products like that. I mean seriously, if a decent American built winch costs 800 bucks and up, and the seller on e bay has bidding start at a buck, what is the real value of this product?
Ok, I didn't say the thing was junk, but I was raised believing you get what you pay for. Yes, you can pay too much, conversely, you can pay toolittle.

I've never heard of it but the numbers are almost identical to the T-Max 12500 which is another one of the lower priced winches. The MileMarker electric winches fall into the same category. They are slow, less expensive and basically good for very occassional light load winching. Same with the Tabor which, I believe is made by or for Warn, uses Warn replacement parts and is warrantied by Warn (just not paying for the name I guess). And that name might be worth it if your out in the middle of nowhere. Even with Warn though, their 9.5xp is supposed to be a longer duty cycle and more aggressive use winch than their xd9000 (occassional use).

Well its not really a saftey problem, it has 3/8" line which is what most 12k winches use. Reliability is the big thing, and can it really pull 12k? I've never heard of them, and I've heard of ALOT of off road anything companies.

If it has a warrenty, and a good legnth one I'd go for it.

Or look for a used one. Kid I live with just got a 12k Warn 24v winch for $400 used. Came off one of those Ford F-350's they send over seas to do oil work and crap. Its a monster, and Warn is a great name so it will pull 12k no problem, probably over that.

It is a Mile Marker/ T-Max winch. I have the T-Max 12k on my 1500. The only diffrence between the two winches are that some of the parts on the T-Max are a little more beefy. If have used it about twenty time sinceI got it(9 months ago) and it seems to work fine. I can't afford a Warn winch right now and sinceI use it for vehicle recovery on roads it does not ave to be ultra perfect. Just my 2cents
