A couple quick questions.
I have a 2000 Dodge Ram with a 360 Magnum. This summer I was planning on putting headers on it and running true duels straight out of the back with no cat and no mufflers. When I bought the truck it had a cat, no mufflers, and split into duels towards the rear. Right now it sounds real healthy and aggressive, I just want to make sure that headers and the lack of a cat will maintain that healthy aggressive sound, I simply want the volume amplified. I've been told that the O2 sensor is before that cat so I shouldn't run into any problems eliminating it, just want to make sure that's the case.
On a side not my truck came equipped with the Sport package, just wondering what the hell it is exactly. I assume it's simply a Z-71 type package Chevy has. I've traditionally been a GM guy, this is my first Dodge.

Nope, two different things. The Z71 package would be equivalent to Dodge's Off-Road package. The sport package is purely cosmetic. The Sport package includes body color bumpers, clear lens headlights, fog lamps, decal graphics instead of emblems, and probably a couple other things I'm forgetting right now.
Sport Group --- Body color front bumper and sight shields, body color rear bumper body color grille, Sport badge, Quad-headlamps and fog lamps, outlined white letter tires (1500 and 2500 only), and cast aluminum wheel (1500) or forged aluminum wheels (2500)
Off-Road Group
--- Includes the Heavy-Duty Service Group, limited-slip rear differential, unique suspension, special skid plates, tow hooks, 4.10 axle ratio, fog lamps, special graphics, off-road tires, and 17" cast aluminum wheels
The Off-Road package was offered on both the Sports and SLT's

Running straight from the cat back is hurting your mpg and performance. I ran stock exhaust to cat/ no muffler, to a magnaflow cat back system. There was a night and day difference, the no muffler sounded bad imo and killed power and TQ.
How is it going to hurt my perforance? I had people tell me the same thing when I did that to my Camaro but I actually noticed an increase in power. Granted I know it will kill power a bit in the lower RPM range but I can live with that. And hell, it's already getting 10 mpg so it's not like it's an economy ride to begin with. I just want to make sure that running straight pipes isn't going to make it sound like junk or screw up any O2 sensors. If I do decide to keep a cat on it I was going to run a high flow cat, any possible problems there?

no offense.. but it almost sounds like you need to sell the dodge and get your chevy back.. cmon man.. these guys are tryin to help.. your sounding a bit short when they are trying to explain that its not all gravy the way you want it.. if you want it that way.. put it that way.. dont ask for help then criticize and inadvertantly call people a liar..
i have a 97 with the 360 magnum and i have 02 in the cat and after...and it runs like complete crap with no cat and sounds even worse...when i got the truck no cat was on it i put on pacesetter headers and a cheap dual exhaust just so i could get the piping but i put on a high performance cat and it pickuped great i got better mpg and more hp and tq so a cat is worth it imo
look at what a exhaust does, it directs the spent ejected fuel out of your motor.back 20 years ago, removing the cat actually gained you a little bit.but with the newer electronic controlled motors you need to have a cat for correct operation of the engine.there has to be some sort of back pressure for your engine to run right. running straights sound good, but it can kill your engine.most motors built since the mid 70's all need to back pressure.without it, it can float valves, and cause other issues.
