Default Replacing studs

I need to replace my front studs. Do I have to remove the hubs and press them off and on, or can I hammer them out and use an impact gun and an open ended nut to put them in? any prefs on studs too?

you can hammer them out but i dont recommend using an impact due to the fact it warps the threads...i changed mine out and just used a open lug nut to tighten them down and then you can use a clamp or whatever you choose after its tightend the most you can go like i said use a clamp or a hammer or something and finish pushing it in ...i am not saying my way is the best but it worked for me

#1 - Put the new stud in the freezer overnight. (When I broke one, I bought 3 ... I still have one left in there). Take it out right before you're ready to install it ... after you have the old one out.

#2 - Make sure you line up the splines pretty quickly.

On the first one that I replaced, I used a lug nut, a breaker bar and a LOT of washers to pull it through.

On the second one I replaced, I hammered it in from the back.

I much prefer the second option.

Oh ... removal ... pound `em out with a hammer.
