Default Looking to buy used '01 1500

Hey guys. I'm new to the site. I currently have a 98 Dakota Sport with 129,000 miles. Runs fine, but I'm looking to upgrade to a full size. A local dealer to me has an '01 Ram Quad cab 1500 4x4 with 100,800 miles on it. The pics look great online. I'm going to see it tomorrow. Here are the specs on it:

Sport Package, Utilty Box, Alloy Wheels, CD Player, Off-Road Package, Running Boards Tow Package, Tinted Glass, ABS, Air Conditioning, Alarm, AM/FM Radio, Bucket Seating, Cassette Radio, CD Changer, Child Seat, Cruise Control, Driver-Side Airbag, Extra Cab, New Brakes, New Tires, Passenger-Side AirBag, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Seats, Power Steering, Power Windows, Radial Tires, Rear Bench Seat,Rear Window Slider , Remote Alarm Control, Remote Keyless Entry, Tilt Wheel,
Standard Equipment: Power Brakes, Power Steering, Dual air bag front/active belts w/passenger side deactivation/cutoff switch, 5 speed manual Transmission, AM/FM Cassette, 318 Cubic Inch Displacement, Gross Vehicle Weight:6,001 - 10,000, 4 wheel standard Anti-lock Brakes, 8 CylindersHe's asking $9400, but I know I can get him to $8900 or $9000 because 2 weeks ago that was his price and I called him on it. He put new tires on it so he raised the price but said he'd honor the lower price. So I'm looking to trade my Dak in. If he gives me 4k for my truck, I think I'll do it.My question is, does it sound like a good price? I know it's got a lot of miles on it, but it won't be my main vehicle. It's for bad weather, and to tow my ATV around. I also like it because of the 4 doors, and I can put my son in the back in his car seat in bad weather. What do you guys think? And what should I look for when I go see it? Thanks.Rob

The picture attached is the one I'm looking at. It's red, but the picture is crappy.

Sounds fair to me, I wouldn't sell my '01 Off-Road for that! (but mine has 63,000 miles on it).

too much money for a 1500 with over 100k miles on it. i would keep looking, or see if you can knock him down a grand.

It's a small pic, but those wheels don't look like the 17" wheels that come with the Off-Road package. They look more like the common 16-inchers. Maybe he's just saying it's "off-road" because it has 4-wheel drive? That price seems awfully low for a real Off-Road equipped truck, they seem to be the most sought-after 2nd Gens.
