Haven't had mine long, and it only has 65,000 on it, but did a fresh tune up andhave only taken it for one road trip since I set it with the Hypertechand it was a two hundred mile trip with some city driving in the middle. Some fairly hilly roads. Ran against the wind going there. Watched a ball game. The wind changed during the game and ran against the wind coming home. Fairly strong winds with tumbleweeds crossing the road. Made just over 19 MPG. I'm happy. I think I can mak 20 or 22 if on the right road and no wind. But man did I ever baby it. Around town I tend to gas it whenever someone gets next to me and acts like a turd, then I've gotten less than 10.

i live in baltimore but work in DC, i carry about 8 or 9 hundred pounds in the bed constantly. at 60mph my rpms are at 2000 or between the tline before the #2, so a lil under, but i drive areound 75 or 80 mph so it tach reads abouit 2400 rpms, and i burn upalmost a1/4 tank oneway. this morning i drafted as far i could on 95 both ways, and i used up a lil over 1/8 of a tank both ways. tomorrow i will try to gauge the mpg

Does anyone have any opinions on improving gas mileage? Maybe a tune up?.... fuel filter, plugs, air fliter....?

ok, how the f*ck do you get as low as 19!? I get 10 and i´m not abusing it, the hole thing is stock exept the high flow cat, will open air kit and exhaust gain MPG that much? And how much will a hypertech really do?

I did all my mods just after I bought my truck so I don't really know which mod did what. I think the hard cover over the bed may have done the most. The Hypertech does alow you to adjust the speedometer for your tire size, so that may have helped in that I get an accurate count of the miles. I do have taller tires and I would assume that helps too.

13-17. to get 17 i have to drive all highway at 55-60 and be very gentle. 13-14 is normal mixed city/county driving to work and back.
