Ok, i have a -96 5.2 and i need a new cat (already went thru the hassel of trying to get it under warranty but no go there).
So i have to get a new cat and at the same time i want to get a dual exit system with better flow, so, my question is, where will i find the best/cheapest/highest performance cat/catback system for my truck that is bolt on. OR where can i go to get everything bolted on for a good price.

Please cheer your experiances, i dont want it to cost more than tops $500

I went with dual outs w/ Flowmaster 50 series. It took my whimpy v6 and made it sound like a v8. It sounds really good and i know i picked up 8hp in the process. It ran me around 220 or so including chrome tips.

after it was installed i wouldve rather just had the pipes dump out but oh well.

 

where can i go to get the cheapest flowmaster exhaust systems?
I went to summitracing and they offer a cat-converter for $150 and a twin pipe system for around $250, good or bad?

 

Well i went to a local muffler shop in my lil town. i would rather have an exhaust expert hook everything up and usually they can get good deals.

those prices seem reasonable.

Do you have any part.nr for the parts that you got? was it bolt on directly?
I browsed on summit a while but i cant get under $400 and thats not including any headers..
