Default 33 inch tires

I'm sure this has been gone over a hundred times already in this forum, but I'm too lazy to look for the answer. Real quick. New owner of 1997 Ram 1500 sport. Can 33inch tires be used without installing lift, whether it be body or suspension??

Thanks
Paul

ive got 285/75/16 on my 02 2500 now and i can go bigger.but the 1500 is different.one of my neighbors is running 35's on his 1500 i dont know the year but it is older because it has the quad cab but without the 4 doors and he has no lift.the tires are really stuffed in there and im sure they rub.

I replied to your e-mail...but what the heck. My 285/75/16 BFG all terrain a/t's rubbed the lower control arm with stock wheels. But my firestone 285/75/16 (33.1") dont rub with my mickey thompson wheels. But yes they will fit.

thank you for all your replies. I was mainly worried about the rubbing in the wheel wells. Wheel spacers could take care of the control arm rub if my offset wasn't right. Thanks again.

I've got 33x12.50/17's on my '01 with Off Road Package.
No problemo.
