Default IAC, Cleaned & Completed

well i cleaned the truck up tonight gonna possibly dig into cleaning the IAC tommorow, trying to find old posts w/ pics and instructions on how to remove and clean the thing but havent had any luck yet. also here are my symptoms, its intermittent and its annoying...

she started this morning remotly i went out and CEL was on im like ok wtf... i get in i clear the start and restart it myself to see if the CEL will go away since it was running fine i was like ok... i restarted it and it started rpms go up like its starting and just like that falls back on its face stalls.. oook now what it did this a while back where it wouldnt idle and idk what it is causing it but its getting on my nerves i have read about the iac being dirty and cleaning it would fix the idle issue but my dad checked it out today while i was at school, he seems to think its the battery and he disc. the neg post to clean it even tho it was like fine, now its working fine again and he cleared the cel with the neg. disc. so i cant get it scanned to see what it was. last time it did this no code or cel. soooo im gonnna dig into the iac tommorow and go from there cause at 103000 miles im sure it might have more then just dust on it...

btw if u can link me any old posts u can dig up on the IAC or give any advice im open for suggestions to this problem.

Under topics go to Second gen ram info, then go to tips and tricks for the ram, then click on cleaning the IAC. I just cleaned mine on Friday before I installed a K&N fipk, you might as well remove the throttle body and clean itas wellas I did. (very simple), dont forget to pick up a new throttle body gasket before you take it off. GL to you.

Oh your TPS sensor may be fryed that would explain your idle issues. See what codes you get if the cel has since went off, hope this helps
