Default school me on available gear ratios

What gear ratios were available in 95-01 Ram 1500's?
I have a 95 parts truck with a posi rear (i was told 3:92's?)and my 01 has an open.(unknown gear)together they would make a great truck.
I see rebuild kits are available for a LSD, Does the old Mustang trick of replacing steels with frictions also apply to Rams? What does it take to make a Factory LSD work at it's best. besides tossing it and installing anything aftermarket.
Thanks
Matt

4x4 also would be nice to know, cause if ur replacing the rear gears in a 4x4 and not the front if u put it in 4wheel drive ur gonna screw stuff up big time.. but if its a 2wd its fine cause only a rear axle, if both are 4x4 then u have to swap both front and rear gears.

sorry forgot to mention that. Yes they are both 4x4's. But my main questions are what ratios were available and posi rebuild options.
my truck: 2001 1500 Ram 4x4 quadcab 360/auto.
parts truck: 1995 1500 Ram 4x4 standard cab 360/auto.
can anyone breakdown any tags that might be on the rear? anywhere else i can locate the rear gear ratio?
And yes i know both need to be changed.

According to Haynes - Goes like this," An identification tag specifying the assembly part number and gear ratio is located on the differential cover. The build date code is stamped on the rear (cover side) of the axle tube." This would be for a 9 1/4 rear axle.

The only ratios I could find for 1/2 tons were------- 3:55 and 3:92's

No D70's on the 1/2 tons. You've got a Chrysler 9.25" in the back and a D44 up front.
