what's the cheapest/easiest way to get a throatier, louder exhaust? i was going to dual it up, and i just had to drop all my truck money into the tranny.

I'm looking for some do-it-yourself exhaustin'....

you could cut out your old muffler and put in a flowmaster and just add pipe on ,because the flowmaster is goin to be shorter 4 muff clams if you dont have a welder ...there you go

 

hmm u could just eliminate the muffler and possibly they cat... have str8 2 1/2 pipe single but idk if that would effect the backpressure to wear u would lose power but that would be cheap and loud

 

why do that ? the flowmaster would be fine , you dont wana go too loud , you will get sick of it , and the cops will be after you

 

I replaced my muffler with a glass pack and split into two pipes behind it (about $250 at Quiet Zone). Then my cat clogged up, so I cut it loose, gutted it, and welded it back. Nice and loud, just smokes a little more. Who needs the ozone anyway.........

 

throw in a glasspack, should be pretty easy get one under $40 or so, opens everything up, sounds good and shouldn't lose too much in terms of back pressure

 

It depends on the cops , glasspacks are illleagel to run so you have to check you local laws and regulations

 

so you're saying cut out the muffler and replace with the glass back? and then connect a tip? the glass pack just attaches to the pipe?

 

you could theres nuttin wrong with them but flowmaster in my eyes is better glasspacks wear out the fiberglass will wear out , spend $40 ON A FLOWMASTER !!! will out last anything

 

i ran 3 inch pipe from the engine back with a hollow cat it then y's into 2 glasspacks its sweeeeet if i am driving down the road and come up behind someone who is walking and i get on the pedal i can make that person crap them selves and have them diving for the hedges
