Strange problem...
Ok, so for the last few weeks, if it has been cold (around or below freezing), my truck has been stalling. I'm pretty sure it has something thing to do with the electronics...
Pushing the throttle during such a time usually only kills the truck more. It will run al lower rpms, but give it gas and it just dies, but if I let off the pedal it is running again without having to re-start it... Like it just pauses mid-rotation and picks right back up when you let off the pedal...
Weird? I think so. Also, it will idle rough, almost like it's missing, but not quite. It sounds mean as hell, like it's got a really radical cam, but there is no power...
What could this be? I've heard of the "Death Flash," is this a precurser to that?
Again, only when it's cold - and not 100% of the time either... Sometimes, even if it's in the 20's, you can just fire it up and go...
I'm stumped...

RE: Death Flash ... no.
Sounds like a dirty and sticking IAC. Pull the throttle body and clean it up really good (using carb cleaner, a toothbrush and maybe some stiff wire). Remove the IAC (from the TB) and clean it up, too. Clean out all the holes, removing all the gunk and any carbon build-up.
