RamNTexas, ask for a build sheet from their service department. When I did, all recalls that were made that applied to my truck showed up. After you have the paper in hand, ask them to deny it again[sm=bustedsign.gif]

Had my clogged cat replaced @ 72,000. It was a recalled item you can find it seaching NHTSA.

The Dodge dealer told me the recall was good to 75,000 miles. I do not know if that is true or not.
I know I would do some more research and contact the EPA if they fail to replace it.
Dodge knows the cat had a problem.

Got a recall on a Fordtruck fixed way past its expire date. Took some calls and I had the local news call Ford about it. It was a big problem. Spitting fuel out..then a steady flow.
Explosion hazord that was identified and recalled every F-150.A few weeks later Fordinstigated a new recall for all owners of that truck no matter the year or miles.
Took a few weeks but $2500 in replacements free.

Do not buy everything the dealer sells.

Good luck

I got a letter in the mail for the recall (96 1500)around a year ago. I was surprised because I bought the truck used onlyabout a year prior. From what I remember, the recall was good up to 110,000 miles. At the time I was about 102K and so Ihad it done at the dealer for free. I also remember the dealer saying something about he DIDN'T show a recall for my truck, and not to believe everything I read on the internet!! I gave him a copy of the recall letter, and he shut-up, then said well, we will test it first etc. A few weeks later (it took a bit of time for the order to come in, I guess there is a backlog on the order!), it was changed.
The moral of the story, don't believe everything the dealer tells you!!!
