i got the Summit Racing headers for 149 and i think it was worth it i got more power and a little extra MPG it took about an hour to install after the truck cooled down
I've looked on ebay... You can find them on there for quite cheap.... I dont know much about headers to be honest... So I dunno if what your getting is decent or not... If anyone else checks the ones on ebay out... lemme know, im looking at getting some headers myself..
i was thinkin about tryin the summit set i mean headers are a pretty basic thing as long as its a good raw material they should last and the after market headers should allow better flow i'll probaly try them bc theyre half the price of the competitors
i was thinkin about doin the summit headers too bc all they have to do is provide better flow i think as long as the raw material is strong they should last and also outflow/outperform stock....
the summit headers that i got have pacesetter stamped in them so i dont know who actually made them but i have had thewm on since sept 06 and have not had any issues at all
Just check the welds over really good, and make sure the mounting flange is flat and true. Other then that, your right, the rest is in the quality of the materials used.
I'm glad to see that mustang had a good set of pacesetter/summit headers. After installing and uninstalling two sets, and three different gaskets to get a seal,I put the manifolds back on. The first set would not seal for lack of weld surface on gasket face and the second set leaked around the tube.
