Default Quick Simple Question

For those of you who have removed the emblems from your trucks, like the RAM 1500 and V8 emblems, how did you do it?? Just looking for the quickest, easiest, least destructive way to do it. They are just glued on right??

Habeba, i know you have done this, any tips?

- To remove most emblems, first use a hair dryer (don't use a heat gun) to soften the glue.
- Gently, using fishing line or dental floss, run the material behind the emblem to separate it from the surface.
- To remove the residue adhesive from the paint, use an adhesive remover (sold in auto paint stores.
- After, wash the area with car soap and water.
- Finally, apply wax to protect the paint.

At the shop weuse a eraser wheel. Pull the emblems off and use the wheel on the adhesive. You can pick one up at most auto-body stores and they fit any drill.

I took the emblems off my friends car cause we got bored and I just pulled them off. Then I used a product called "goof off" to get the remaining residue off his car and it worked great. My dad used goof off all the time and it removes almost anything. I pulled the emblems off last year and the paint is still fine so the goof off didn't damage the paint or anything.

One typicaly hot 115 degree Phoenix day...went out and pulled em off. A hair dryer works as well. I used some goo gone to remove the residue and buffed it with some cleaner wax...all gone!

Well when I did it, I heated it up and pryed the emblem off and there was abunch ofthetape stuck to the truck. I then just kinda rolled it in one direction with my fingers.....it was a big pain. I would use the fishing line method if I did it again. I also used goo-gone to get the excess off. I guess there really isnt a set way to do it....its jst kinda a lenghty process.
