Default Idle Problem

I recently changed out the throttle body to a used one that had been slightly modified. Air ports ground smooth etc. Works good and everything seemed great. Ran smooth idled well except for one problem. Every now and then when coming to a stop the idle stays up at about 1000 rpm. This seems to happen at random.Prior to the change the truck ran fine and did not have this problem. Any suggestions?

Default RE: Idle Problem

if you did not reset the pcm to relearn the new air ratio it will take truck a couple hundred miles to straighten itself out. people that have dakotas are expericeing the same problem and after awhile it goes back to normal

Default RE: Idle Problem

I did disconnect the negative cable to battery and it was off for about an hour. I assumed that should reset PCM. I was also wondering if it was a learning curve so to speak. I have only put on about 25 miles since changing.
