Specifications for 1995 Ram 1500 SLT w/5.9?
Hi,
I am trying to find information regarding HP and TQ for this vehicle. I am purchasing it tomorrow.
I would also like to know if anyone knows the vehicle weight, rear end ratio options and transmission gear ratio's and compression ratio and gas tank size.
Also, what is reasonable MPG estimates for city and highway driving?
Thanks!

warning: the torque graph in the above specs is reversed and its right side should be its left. This means the torque shown at high rpm is actually the torque at low rpm.
Hp curve is ok.
Average MPG for a 1995 4x4 5.9V8 46RH auto trans 3.55 diff
should be about 12 in mixed driving,
maximum highway is about 20 at steady 60 mph on level windless interstate,
but drops to about 14 MPG at 79 mph, even less with big 'mudder' tires

Thanks for the info.
Where there other rear end ratio options? My truck has 265/75/16 tires and the rpms at 60 MPH is only 1500. Seems pretty low.

3.92 was a factory available option
today 4.10 & 4.56 and at least one supplier of 4.88 are sold,
but the 9.25 differential has been plagued by
bad pinion seals
bad pinion bearings
and breaking lsd clips
so when spending money on the rear differential
it is best to upgrade to the Dana 60 that was available on some
2500 Rams and prior year 250 Ram vans.

You can get a 'build sheet' directly from Chrysler for your truck at this website.
They email you a 2-3 page sheet with all the specific parts on your truck.
In the
"Briefly describe" box
write that you need a build sheet for your vehicle so that you can correctly find maintenance parts

According to my window sticker, my '97 5.2only makes 220hp, not the 230 listed on Geno's...
Oh, and Ray, with those size tires and those RPMs, it sounds like you have the 3.55s...
