winch mount?
alright fellas....the time has come for a new winch discussion. there are a very limited amoutn of bumpers for our trucks and they are all for the most part bulky. so heres what i think im gonna do....get a peice of flat steel, weld it to the frame behind the front bumper and mount the winch ontop of it. then drill a nice square in the bumper and place the fairleads on the outside of the bumper. just a brain storm/something iread on another form. also, if any of you fellas know of any winch bumper websites/manufacturers, please post a link. Thanks
Steve

Theres a few makers of front winch bumper out there. Here is the pair I have on my trucks. The first one is a TrailReady bumper, and it has enough room for a 12,000 lb Warn in there. Total weight of the bumper and winch is over 500lbs.

The second is a bumper ai picked up used. And since I have one, I have seen 2 others of the same kind on Dodges. It has a 10,000 lb Ramsey on it

thanks for those pics though...do you have a website for those two bumpers, maybe they can point me in another direction

just fab some new brackets that push your stock bumper out enought to mought the winch behind it, most people wont even notice the difference and you retain your stock bumper which does not look bulky and also hide the winch which is pretty nice to
