Man, thank God for this forum. Who know's more about dodge rams than another dodge ram owner. Sad to say this is my first of many more posts to come. Anyway, right now I need everyones help on this minor situation thatI wouldn't like get any worse.

I needDF's help in figuring out what the heck this noise is when I change the gears on my column shift on my 1997 dodge ram 1500.
The noise is best described as a clicking when changing the gears. You know, from parking down to reverse, neutral, drive and so on. The noise comes from the steering column closest to the steering wheel, but the tranny shifts pretty rough.

Any type of tips and suggestions will help....thanks a million in advanced...
