Default Leaky Radiator

I am beginning to have a leak on the edge of one side of my radiator, and when i first start the truck it leaks for about 2 min while warming up, then it stops. It usually leaks about a half a shot glass, so what i was wondering is has anyone tried that radiator leak-stop crap and if it really works. i am probably going to try it anyways if i am going to have to buy a new radiator if it doesnt. also does that crap end up clogging other parts of the cooling system as well?

thanks

That Barr's stop leak works... also a raw egg in the radiator does too.

stop leak does work...but....it will clog up your water pump too...I know people who used it for radiators and heater cores and it worked fine and no problems but I know a few people who used it and it clogged their water pumps..

After I jury-rigged a repair on my (hugely) cracked left tank ... I topped it off with 2 tubes of ($1.99) AlumaSeal Stop Leak. That was last May or so. Ran all Texas summer and to this day ... no leaks ... no clogs ... everything cools (and heats) like new. If it ever clogs or blows again I'll replace the radiator but at least I got a lot of extra time off of this one.

If what you try doesn't work ... there's a guy on eBay that sells radiators pretty cheap. That's where I'm going if mine ever fails again. He has CTD brass 3-cores for dirt cheap and like $20 shipping (IIRC). Think he's out of Oklahoma.
