Default MSD Ignition

Just wondered if you guys have seen the new quick harness from msd to plug in a 6al box. It plugs right into the factory harness. Also is anybody running an msd setup and how much difference did you notice?

i went to the msd website and it shows the harness but only for 98-03

90-97 is #8889. I just got the new book today at work and I got excited. Now I'm curious to see how much of a difference the 6al box and coil and wires will make.

i started out with just the coil and spark plug wires .. that made a difference then i got the wiring harness 8889 easy install ...then i installed the box 6A and yes that made a nice difference , but ! im after the mpg which it help there 20 outside still getting 16.5 mpg...in all its worth the money ! 2 weeks im going to look at the plugs and see how they burn , keep gapping them .05 till the plug looks good (good burn) ill do a rite up sometime..good luck !

Thanks for the info. I saw on hughes's website where they carry complete msd ignitions for our trucks for about 330.00. It had an msd coil, 6a box, distributor, wires, cap, rotor, and harness.

If you experiment with the MSD ignitions
check your distributor cap and rotor more often
as they begin to wear much faster.
