Default RE: Couple of coolant/heater questions

yah i did the t-stat and it made no differece, though i thought it would cause the old one moved so easly with the slightest push of your finger and the new one was a two hand job to get open, man changin those things shure makes a mess even with some rags handy plus you cant see what your doin, well next step in this parade is the coolant flush, and ill probabaly do every other fluid in the dam thing while im at it being its got just about 340000 on it. thanks boys

Never, ever force a t-stat open!!! You'll distort the metal flange, etc. It should only open naturally when it reaches the appropriate temperature.
