Default Shift kit

Where did you guys get you shift kits at? I've got a 46re and I'm buying one but I don't know where's the best place to buy. The only place I found is ... http://www.transmissionpartsusa.com/...00%2D00054931B

dont do it.......you'll be rebuilding in month if you try to use a shift kit in a 46re the planataries aren't stout enough for even normal use maybe if you rebuilt your 46re with 48re parts then you would be ok

I did have my tranny rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago.Would that make a difference (low miles on rebuild)? I know the mechanic used only 46re parts.I'm just trying to make the tranny stronger andlast longer, i do realize that the trannys are terrible. I also change my fluids and adjust the bands on a regular basis.

your best bet is to leave the tranny alone and add a extra cooler

Well i'm not sure i'd adgree with TPS, a good shift kit will firm up the shifts without making them harsh, and prolong the life of the transmission.

this is correct. an APS shift kit will significantly strengthen and prolong the life of the trans.

faster, firmer shifts means less slippage and less heat.
