How can you tell which tranny you have between the 2 auto styles and which one is better

not sure what you mean... one trans came with the 318 and 360 gasser, and another type of trans came with the V10 and diesel. i believe you should have the 46re

Wouldn't he have either the 46RE, or the 46RH?


I am not all that familiar with eac specific year. I have enough trouble with a 95'!...lol.

You can email Chrysler your VIN and they will tell you, or any good dealer parts man can do the same. It's most likely a 46re.
