Default Another Tire Size Question.

I have a 2000 Off Road edition so it already has a two or three inch lift with the 17" wheels I believe the stock size is 275/75/17.
How big can can I go without them rubbin when i turn?
Thanks for the help.

I didn't lift my 01 off road at all and I put 35" BFG Mud Terrains on it with only slight rubbing at full turn, and also, the original tire size is 275/70/17, which is equivalent to around a 33" tire.

Edit: Oh yeah, I also used my original 17x8 off - road wheels and the current tire size is 35x12.50x17

would the 17 inch wheels from a 2000, or 2001 off road fit a 96 with 16 inch factory wheels?

That ram has the 17" off-road wheels on it with 35"s and I'm pretty sure it is the same bolt pattern.

I`m putting a set of 33x12.5 17s on my 01 sport shortly with the off road edition wheels.I was told that the 33s wont rub at all and should fit good .So if you do the tire swap go with 33s

thanks

I'd go with 33x12.50's. I think any bigger and you will have major rubbing issues. I've heard of it done but not sure I'd do it. 33"s may rub slightly but I'm not sure if they will on stock wheels or not. I have an offroad with 3" lift. Well just a Ram with a 3" lift as you loose the offroad lift when you change the coils and with my 16x10 wheels at full lock when you hit a bump my tires will rub slightly on the plastic fender lining. The offroad is only about a 1.5" lift from what I've heard. Now I could clear 33"s fine if I didn't have my wheels I'm sure so but I just thought I'd throw that out there.
