Default Transfer Case get oil from the tranny?

Hey I was wondering if the transfer case gets some oil from the Tranny, or if it is a totally self contained system. I have a leak outa the back of my transfer case where my drive shaft comes out so i am just curious.

self contained, it uses ATF fluid also

also, the rear output seal is hella easy to change. pop the rear driveshaft out by pulling the ujoint caps off at the rear axle, and just slide it out of the t-case. the seal just yanks out, and push a new one in...rub some oil on the new seal, and slide the d-shaft back in. bolt it back up and you're done.

One thing (if you haven't done this yet) ... mark the driveshaft with a chalk line or dots or something (at the yoke) so it goes back together the same way it came apart (and not 180 out). The non-vibrating truck you save may be your own. [8D]
