1996 Dodge Ram 1500 problem... PLEASE HELP
well my brother has a 1996 dodge ram 1500 and about a month ago he replaced his fuel pump. Just last night it started acting wierd. When he would start his truck it would die instantly. If you give it gas while starting it, it will start and run but once you let off the gas it would die. We put a new throttle body positioning sensor on and it still does it..Every once in a while it will not do it but the truck seems to run a tad rougher then what it usually would..If someone might know what this problem could be please help me...oh and also, the new fuel pump had a new fuel filter on it so I dont think that could be the problem unless there is an inline fuel filter somewere as well that we dont know about? Thanks
It's on the back of the throttle body...if you had the battery disco' it may need to reset, but cleaning it out would be a good idea.

I know ... it's for a Durango ... but it's 'bout the same.

Thanks guys im gonna check out the IAC to see whats up. How long will it take me to get the damn thing off? The truck has been running perfect and then it just started throwin a fit and would barely run so im hoping its the IAC.
well i put the new IAC sensor/valve in and so far so good. Is that the MAF sensor on the front of the TB right next to the TPS? Them little screws were way down in there looked kinda scary to even attempt.
