im gonna be doing an oil change on my 1999 ram 1500 sport this weekend... how many quarts of oil am i gonna need? i searched online for it and i got like 5 different answers... its the 5.2L V8...

Engine oil capacity With filter change is 5 quarts.

Buy one of these while you're getting the oil and filter

This information should also be contained in the vehicle's owner's manual.

I havn't changed it in a while, but for some reason i thought mine took 5.5 last time i changed it. I remember putting 5 in it, and it only being about half way up the line between low and full. Its almost time to change it again though, so i guess i'll know for sure in a few days.

I downloaded the manual, butmy AdopeReader(sp?) says it can't show it something wrong with it??? Is their a site that has it veiwable online????
