you could replace the serpentine belt or the tensioner could be going bad...there is a product called belt dressing that will quit the squeak.

I'd suspect the belt tensioner... hit it with some WD-40 (the center and the joint) ... engine OFF.

thanks guys the belt is fairly new ill try some wd40 on the tensioner and the belt dressing hopefully that stuff wont turn it into a super high pitched squeak.

I had the same exact problem with mine a couple of weeks ago, changed the belt tensioner (about $60) and it is quiet as can be now.
There is actually a post on here that shows a step by step instruction.
Good luck

Be careful with the wd-40 so you don't get it on the belt, but it's a great trick.

I personally don't care much for belt dressing, thou I keep a can around for emergencies, it tends to do as much harm as good.

ok well i tried the wd40 trick and took the belt off and sprayed the bearing behind the roller and and the joint where it gets its tension from it stopped for a min with a light squeak and picked up again the tensioner seemed to be working fine, but its back and i dunno what it is maybe it could be just the belt cause it is a little shiny on the backside i have read it is not suppose to be shiny. maybe i will just have to replace the belt with a mopar belt. any suggestions what about the idler? thanks john

they have an item called a mechanics stethascope. instead of the pad on one side like the medical ones, it has a pointed rod. touch the rod to various parts under the hood while the engine is running, and you can figure out what pully is making the noise
