Default Tranny Problem

I have a 96/1500. The other day I went to pick my daughter up, and I made it about 100 feet when all the sudden none of the gears were working. I get out and notice tranny fluid all over the snow, and discover a hose came lose. I thought the fix would be simple and reinstalled the hose and filled it up with tranny fluid. Now, it still won't engage. It cycles through the gears, but it is not engaging any of them. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How sure are you that you got it full?

I thought I did, but I'll check again tomorrow and let you know. Thanks for the reply.

Remember ... the tranny is supposed to be at operating temperature (not sure how you'll achieve that), the truck should be level, you have to run the shifter through each position (pausing for a second or three at each ... fills up the valve body) and then leave it in N to check it. Check the level two or three times to make sure.

If you knew all this, tell me to shut up already. [&o]
