Hi OZMarshy, on all gasoline engines the ID number is located on a pad near the left side engine mount, at the bottom of the engine block where the oil pan is attached.

OZMarshy, you know the left would be the passenger side of your truck down-under, and the driver side up-yonder.

No the number doesn't ring a bell, but the number would be stamped at the bottom of the engine block.

The Vin. no. onthe dash of your truck, the 8th digit should be your enginecode(V-10) W, and 10th digit would be yourmodel year for a 1995 would be S.

yeah i been looking at the left side. is the number stamped on a seperate plate then stuck to the engine or is it stamped into the bloke itself.

the vin says that it is a V10 and a 1995 model which is funny cause here in OZ they consider it a 99 model cause thats when it got converted and first registered so i got a bit of a shock when i had looked at the net about 99 models and when i actually picked it up i noticed straight away that it wasn't due to it not having the suicide doors and the rotary switch for light's. not worried cause it is still awesome.
